A pre-requisite to NCAST-PCI program, Keys to Caregiving provides participant with an evidence based approach to understanding newborn and infant behaviour, including information on infant cues, infant states, state modulation and the importance of the feeding interaction. Keys to Caregiving benefit the parent-child relationship in several ways. These include enhancing understanding of the infant’s abilities, parent confidence and enabling health care professionals to share this knowledge with parents.

Target audience: Recommended for all child and family health professionals.

Length of training: One day
