Parent-Child Nurture and Regulation - Research Group

About this Research Group
Tresillian has been providing a parent group called Postnatal Depression and Anxiety group for over a decade. Research indicates that it helps parents who report depression and/or anxiety.
We have developed a new group called the Parent-Child Nurture and Regulation group to support parents who may struggle with up and down emotions, because of difficult experiences in their lives. This is a ten week group that supports parents to learn new skills to manage emotions, connect with their child and increase self understanding.
Pilot data indicates that the new group may help parents and their relationship with their child, but we don’t know how it compares with the Postnatal Depression and Anxiety group.
Access to the new group is only available as part of a research project so we can test it thoroughly before making it broadly available.
If you participate in the research, you will be randomised to EITHER the Parent-Child Nurture and Regulation group OR the Postnatal Depression and Anxiety group.
