Postnatal Depression & Anxiety - Nepean - 1st February
About this event
The Tresillian postnatal depression and anxiety group is an 8-week therapeutic group for treatment of mothers experiencing mild depressive and/or anxious symptoms following the transition into motherhood. The PND Group is a closed group with no more than 6 mothers in attendance. The group is closed so participants will always be meeting with the same people to ensure a sense of comfort and safety.
PND Group Topics • Week 1: Introduction and overview of PND. • Week 2: Mood, stress and anxiety management. • Week 3: Communication and assertiveness. • Week 4: Identity as a mother. • Week 5: Life journey using a strength-based approach. • Week 6: Connecting with partners. • Week 7: Parent-child relationship. • Week 8: Conclusion and review of progress.
Partner’s Group - Midway through the eight-week course a partners evening will be organised to allow partners to meet and also discuss their experiences of parenting.
