Reconnect with the Foundations of Responsive Infant Care
The Keys to Infant Caregiving (KTIC) program, developed by the Parent-Child Relationship Programs at the University of Washington, helps health professionals strengthen their understanding of infant communication, behaviour, and the early parent-infant relationship.
This refresher workshop is designed for clinicians who have previously completed the KTIC Foundation Course and would like to update their knowledge and further develop their skills in supporting families and infants.
What You Will Learn
During this interactive workshop, participants will:
- Refresh their understanding of the core principles of Keys to Infant Caregiving.
- Strengthen their ability to recognize, interpret and link the key concepts of KTIC to everyday practical interactions with parents.
- Explore practical, evidence-informed strategies for supporting responsive caregiving.
- Reflect on clinical practice through case discussions and shared learning with peers.
- Enhance confidence in applying KTIC principles when working with infants and families.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is intended for nurses, midwives, and other health professionals who have previously completed the Keys to Infant Caregiving Foundation Course.
Requirements
To participate, you will need:
- Completion of the Keys to Infant Caregiving Foundation Course.
- Access to a Keys to Infant Caregiving Study Guide, which was provided during your original training.
If you no longer have access to your study guide, a new copy will need to be purchased before attending the workshop.
