Extended Home Visiting program

Tresillian provides a specialist program to support the development of a positive relationship between children and parents who at times experience more complex challenges. The program uses proven techniques to identify parent strengths, promote sensitive care attuned to the child’s cues and developmental needs. These techniques also often help in reducing parental anxiety.

A child and family health nurse with additional training provides up to 6-12 visits in the home to provide professional parenting support and guidance to help you better understand your child’s communication and respond to their needs. The program also works closely with other services, supporting you to link with those who can provide help and assistance in the short and longer term. Both parents are encouraged to participate in the program if available when the home visits take place.

This program is currently available from many of our centres. To find out more or to organise a referral from your health professional, please contact these centres as per details on our Locations page.
